Three Poems On Reality

Next up in the forgotten poems (2000 – 2005) series: ’Escape, ’ ’Dawn,’ and ’Toy.’

Found while cleaning/organizing my office

Toy

Wind me up with the little key
I’ll smile and dance: just little me
Dressed up in pretty clothes for all to see
You’ve made me a toy to reality

Escape

escape reality
close your eyes
lean forward
into the sky

Dawn

I’m breaking like dawn
on a clear day; thunderstorms
are coming here soon

Thank you for taking the time to read these today! Have you ever found any of your old writing? What did you think of it? What do you think of this one? I’d love to hear in the comments!
