2 Writing Themed Poems

Continuing the forgotten poetry series, here are two poems about writing titled “Inside My Pen” and “The Pen.”

Again, these would have been written between the years 2000 – 2005.

Inside My Pen

A fluid movement from my pen
Into the form of a figure
Slowly breathing, breathing in life
As I back away for fear

This creature erupts into a smoke
Filling the room with ink
Slowly melting, melting to form
As the monster captures

Here I am trapped in my pen
The figure writing my words
Happily Living, Living my life
As I’m inside my pen

The Pen

Others don their own mistakes
Just to prove their fall from grace
Martyrdom; the world’s hatred for them
Leaves them to write farce with a pen
For silver spoons in decaying mouths
Leave us to suffer from their sounds
What love was lost may be won again:
Please stop complaining with the pen.

Thank you for taking the time to read these today! Have you ever found any of your old writing? What did you think of it? What do you think of this one? I’d love to hear in the comments!
