Announcements And Updates: 7 July 2020

Publication Announcements And Author Updates

Here are some exciting updates from authors I’ve previously reviewed and follow, as well as a two of my own ๐Ÿ™‚

Sean Haughton

Sean Haughton’s new book Summer of ’16 is now available on Amazon! We catch up with George and Sally in an all new adventure many years after “The Secret In The Breeze” (the second book in the series). I have already purchased my copy as I am already invested in this series and can’t wait to read both the second and now the third.

Alaine Greyson

Participating in a Summer Book Bash, all books from Creative James Media are on sale through 31 July 2020.

A new book, ‘Phantoms In The Moonlight’ will have its launch party on September 8 and you can join that here.

Fun Quizzes For Series Fans: Which Bracken Point Resident Are You? I recently had a great time with this quiz. For those curious, I got Jonathan – our favorite addiction specializing psychiatrist.

Be sure to sign up for Alaine Greyson’s newsletter here to stay up to date with all of her latest announcements!

T-shirt Update

In May I held a writing contest and the winner got their choice of one of these three shirts. I really like how they turned out and Iโ€™m sorry it has taken me so long to get these up.

“A Hundred Different Skies” Progress Update

The final poem list and order are finished! I decided that I will be taking the less enigmatic/ambiguous poems regarding my life and putting these in a separate collection to be released at a later time. Given the nature of a poetic memoir and the incredible adventures that my family has lived together, it’s essential we take our time in reviewing all poems with more personal content.

That’s all for the updates! Thank you for taking the time to read ๐Ÿ™‚

Free Book Announcement!

Sean Haughton announced that he is making the Kindle versions of all of his books free for a limited period of time. I reviewed “Guided by the Ghosts” at the beginning of this year and really enjoyed it. I found myself rooting for George and deeply connecting with his character’s struggles. I recommend others to read it, especially if they have ever felt like an outcast.

This is a great opportunity for anyone that previously hesitated to give any of these books a read to do so. You can pick them up from Amazon here.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! Without you these words would be drops of unicode in a seemingly endless sea of numbers turned into pulsing light signals traveling across fiber optic cables only to be stored somewhere until someone retrieves them.

Short Story And A Few Additional Announcements

New Short Story

We’re back with a new short story: Part 2 of “Waking Up”, titled “On The Third Day.”

I would love to hear feedback on what impressions are on the story so far. At this time I’m trying to mimic memory, awareness, and the cognizance during the recovery process with the length of each new part. If this isn’t working I should know.

Let’s be clear: recovery from being in a coma and brain injuries is a very long process. I’m trying to recreate that for the reader.

Writer’s Block Challenge Update

Writer’s whose works are selected to be placed on the site will receive t-shirts of their choice from the selection of Bonfire t-shirts I made. When submitting your short stories please remember to include your t-shirt size and preference with your random number for the winner announcement on Twitter and the website.

Book Giveaways!

There are 4 book giveaways coming up. Each giveaway includes 2 books that have been selected and paired from our family library. The opportunities to win these will be announced over the next couple days relating to a treasure map challenge that will be cross posted on a friend and fellow author’s blog ๐Ÿ™‚ Stay tuned!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚
